**Introduction** We are seeking a Java developer with microservices experience to join the IBM Z and LinuxONE Security and Compliance Center team. The role requires familiarity with containerized applications and will be focused on back-end application development. The role provides ample opportunity for learning and career growth and is only constrained by the individual’s appetite for learning **Your role and responsibilities** * Evaluate and recommend new technologies and update versions of existing ones. * Perform development, and code management. * Work with multiple teams in different locations and time zones. * Perform unit, integration and parallel testing. * Analyse and understand existing programs, job flows, and components. * Review test and debug team members work. * Trouble shoot issues, collaborate in making the systems stable, sound, perform faster and processing more in automated manner. * Understand business and functional requirements to be developed. * Work in an agile environment. **Required technical and professional expertise** * 4+ years of IT experience as a Java developer * Strong foundational knowledge of containerized deployments. * Experience working with GitHub managed repositories and workflows. * Strong debugging/analytical/problem solving skills. * Good in Design Patterns. * Experience in unit test cases and/or automation test cases **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Knowledge of Bamboo, Jira, Spring AOP, Junit, SQL query optimization and fine tuning, is a plus. * Frameworks: J2EE/Spring-boot/Spring + Hibernate * Experience in Linux/kubernetes/podman/docker commands * Experience with PostgreSQL and Node.js is a plus. * Practical development experience with Web Services (SOAP and REST) is a plus. * Experience in static code analyser tools like sonarqube, codescan, veracode, etc.,
