Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Department Manager to oversee the zoning and planning team for a local municipality located in Hampton, VA. This person will be responsible for all the planning and zoning reports that are submitted to the planning commission. They must be extremely detail-oriented and have extensive knowledge of the city appeals process while having a proven track record of managing various teams. Skills and Requirements 2-5 years of chief planning, senior planning, or senior zoning official experience. Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, Planning, Public or Governmental Administration. Experience preparing reports that are presented to the planning commission. Extensive knowledge of the rezoning or used permit process. Proven experience of managing deadlines while providing oversight of a team. Diverse background working with residential and commercial projects (warehouse, hotels, retail, multi-unit, large, single-family homes, etc.).
