Zonal Sales Manager

Overview:

The Zonal Sales Manager is responsible for volume delivery, receivables collection & execution of sales & GTM strategy in given geography

Responsibilities:

Season wise Crop Wise Volume delivery

New product (RC1-RC3) launches & volume scale up as per mandate

Price Execution & ensure timely collection of receivables

Cost Management - Market Promotions, Travel & People Spend

Share RSP, Collection plan & Volume outlook projections

People Leadership, Talent identification, development

Execution of channel strategy and periodically review the same

Uniform execution of product & campaign communication, tools utilization

Ensure utilization ICT tools for tracking and reporting through temp resources

Temp manpower timely recruitment to avoid loss of man months

Execute product testing, sampling & Ag development plan in collaboration with Agronomy

Ensure adherence to Sales Return guidelines & scheme outflow within provisions

Execution of different farmer & trade level programs & other related initiatives (Pravakta & Parivaar)

Share Market updates/ Competitive intelligence/Industry estimates/Customer insights

Territory planning- Block analysis/Resource planning/Penetration & Concentration planning

Activity planning- customer calculator/big farmers/3R goals, calendarisation & tracking

Retail planning basis analysis- Retail penetration, depth & counter share

Responsible for liaison with local Ag Dept. officials & ensure abiding with laws/dept. guidelines

Ensure adherence to defined company values & policies

Education:

Education – Bachelor or Master Degree in Agriculture/Related discipline

Experience – Total of 7 to 10 years of experience between Seeds & Agro Chemicals industry.

Planning and Execution Skills – Capable of establishing business plans and drive execution.

Business Knowledge – Apply and maintain agronomic technical/functional expertise.

Technical Skills – Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook

Self-Management Skills – Inspire trust, demonstrate adaptability, practice self-development and discipline. Ability to work independently with successful timely completion of quality deliverables. Maintain high levels of integrity and perform with minimal supervision.

Strategy Skills – Create customer loyalty.

Interpersonal Skills – Build relationships and manage conflict with dealers, customers.
