Youth Development Specialist

This is a full-time regular position working M-F, 8:30am-5pm hours could vary due to business needs. The starting pay for this position is $18.34 per hour. Weekly earned wage access is an option for this position. 

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Engage and inspire students of ages 6-18 for grade promotion by creating educational and physical activities that are fun and engaging while developing fundamental life skills. You will report to the Development Supervisor.

Primary Tasks:

You will encourage members to participation in different programs and activities. Monitor and evaluate situations to ensure children seek advice from staff regarding problems and receive guidance and recognition. Organize and implement a range of program services and activities that are fun, instructional, and that incorporate team building skills. You will ensure safety, positive values, and ethical behavior through quality in programs. Help maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the Youth Center. Help maintain inventories of all program equipment and supplies; ensure all related supplies and equipment are well maintained. Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.

Required Education and experience:

High School Diploma Work and complete all job responsibilities Mentor and work well with youth Knowledge of athletics, Choctaw culture, and technology Word, Excel (maintain spreadsheets). 1 year of experience in related field About the Choctaw Nation
