Salary Range: $75,000-$78,750 per year
CommonBond Communities invites qualified applicants to apply for the Yardi Support Specialist position at our at our Central Office location in Saint Paul, MN. The Yardi Support Specialist provides application support for the Yardi software system. The Yardi Support Specialist also provides application training on standard processes for staff and creates and maintains documentation used for training and procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND ASSOCIATED TASKS
Application Support
Setup and maintain user access, menus, and security. Manage security Guidelines and settings of user roles. Integrate acquired and new properties into the system (Work with outside compliance contractor, Property Management & Asset Management to ensure new properties are appropriately set-up) Troubleshoot and correct application technical issues. Research and test new software versions, service packs, plug ins, and customizations.
Application Training
Formulates teaching outline, determines instructional methods, and conducts training sessions. Instructional methods may include eLearning, individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, workshops. Provide primary application and procedural for new employees. Provide follow-up and on-going application and procedural training for employees. Conduct monthly meetings for staff to review procedures and Q & A. Work with Property Management on developing and providing quarterly meeting training.
Documentation
Writes and develops training materials such as training handbooks, instructional material, demonstration models, multimedia Visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works. Develops, writes, and coordinates training manuals for staff. Document IT related information due to application changes and procedures.
Maintain high level of communication with IT Director and CBC Staff
Communicate the status of issues and repair in a timely manner. Communicate any down time to appropriate people as soon as possible. Update the Director of Applications and Yardi Administrator on the status of ongoing issues. Communicate software and procedural changes to staff. Suggests improvements in department specific work procedures. Interacts with Regional Managers regarding developmental training of specific employees.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of government housing subsidy programs- Project Based Section 8 (50059 required) Two years’ experience in property management, compliance, or leasing. Minimum of 3 years of advanced Yardi systems experience: Yardi Voyager 7s Affordable, the Elevate suite, Procure to Pay, RentCafe Affordable, Aspire and Orion BI Procedural and industry standard training experience. Ability to speak effectively in interpersonal situations and before groups of employees. Proven presentation and facilitation skills. Experience developing procedural manuals. Must be able to work standard office hours in Central time. Ability and wiliness to work occasional evenings and weekend. Demonstrate experience working with a diverse population.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to type data into a computer. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds. Ability to use hands to grasp, twist and pull. Access to reliable transportation. Willingness and ability to travel between sites for meetings and training. Willingness for minimal travel including overnight trips as needed. Ability to communicate effectively written and orally.
