The FSG Yard Maintenance/Mechanic is responsible for inventory control, job set-up, basic maintenance of tools and equipment, and assisting with repairs of equipment breakdowns in the field with future potential to increase mechanic responsibilities. Has no supervisory responsibility.

Responsibilities

Inventory Control:

Keep track of equipment and all consumables going out to jobs and returning. Work with purchasing to keep stock levels. Utilize Teletrac to track inventory and work orders. Shipping and receiving.

Job Set Up:

Attend project kick offs and resource meetings. Prepare assigned equipment and prep and package supplies.  Work with mobilization to load and unload trucks.

Maintenance:

Maintain small tools. Perform PM maintenance on all FSG equipment to include drills, excavators and grouting equipment. Entry level understanding of diesel, hydraulic and air systems. Familiarity with fabrication welding and torch work. Assisting with repairs of equipment breakdowns in the field with future potential to increase mechanic responsibilities.

About You

Qualifications

High school degree or equivalent. Computer literacy/knowledge needed to learn and work with inventory and work order systems, specifically Teletrac Navman apps. Good oral communications, basic math skills, and a high degree of common sense. Self-starter that must be flexible and able to make decisions in the company’s best interest. Mechanical aptitude required, familiarity with forklifts, excavators, and towing trailers. Must have a clean MVR.

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform essential functions of the position. Ability to lift 50 - 100 lbs. Outside environment. All weather conditions. Work on uneven and loose surfaces. Stooping and bending up to 70% of the time. Extensive travel within New England region and/or other areas as needed.
