Yard Jockey- Night Shift(FQ- Tissue)

We are seeking Yard Jockey for our First Quality Tissue facility located in Anderson, SC. Yard Jockey's are responsible for tracking trailer movement within the Manufacturing campus.  Keeps the yard organized and trailer inventories accurate in SAP; performs basic preventative maintenance on equipment and switcher truck. Covers/performs warehouse loading, and shipping duties and related activities as needed.  Beyond the qualifications of the position, it is important that the individual demonstrates the ability to teach, train and mentor others.

Primary responsibilities include:

•    Responsible for trailer movement within the SE Tissue & FQPP complex.
•    Performs yard checks and keeps trailers organized in designated lots.
•    Maintains accurate trailer and yard inventories in SAP.
•    Performs basic preventative maintenance and monitor repair needs of switcher truck.
•    Performs housekeeping of outside dock areas and switcher trucks.
•    Assists with other Warehouse Specialist tasks when needed.
•    Ability to load and unload trucks as needed
•    Responsible for calculating accurate tallies and documentation during the loading and unloading, and warehousing process.
•    Adhere to Company policies and procedures.
•    Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so.
•    Follows necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulation/guidelines.
 

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: 

•    Must be able to work overtime and any shift/schedule 
•    Ability to operate fork trucks safely and efficiently.
•    Fundamental knowledge of general warehouse procedures and product codes.
•    Ability to work and operate safely in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
•    Ability to operate all warehouse material handling equipment.
•    Obtains and maintains current forklift license.
•    Ability to operate RF Scanner and radio for communication.
•    Current CDL-A with over the road experience preferred.
•    Strong communication and learning skills.
•    Previous leadership/supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
