**Job Title: Yard Attendant** **Job Description** The Yard Attendant is responsible for performing basic yard functions to ensure that all key information is recorded on incoming vehicles and assist with upkeep and maintenance of these vehicles throughout the sale process. **Responsibilities** + Check in vehicles by recording and filing information on vehicles being assigned to the facility. + Thoroughly clean vehicles to improve their appearance for purposes of enhancing their value at auction. + Record vehicle information. + Recover keys, license plates, and other information or objects from vehicles at the facility and store them in the appropriate locations at the branch. + Assist visitors by providing appropriate guidance and/or directing them to the appropriate person for additional assistance. + Wash cars, remove license plates, and provide general cleaning services in order to maintain a clean and safe facility. + Detail vehicles as needed. + Monitor yard activity to ensure that visitors and other employees comply with all company policies. + Immediately report all violations of company policy to a supervisor or manager. + Operate passenger vehicles in a safe manner for the purposes of moving the vehicles around the facility and/or participating in drive-through auctions. + Receive training in forklift/loader operation. + Assist with other yard functions as needed. + Take photos of cars as they come in. **Essential Skills** + Ability to read/write at a high school level. + Strong attention to detail. + Valid driver's license, own vehicle for transportation, and consistent attendance. + Capability to interact effectively and supportively with customers and towers. + Ability to perform and/or assist with light maintenance of vehicles. + Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. and perform activities that involve stooping, bending, standing, and walking for reasonable periods of time. + General mechanical knowledge of makes and models of vehicles. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in general labor or any job that required working outside for the majority of the workday (e.g., landscaping, yard jockey, general labor). + Tech-savvy and able to use a camera. **Why Work Here?** With an extensive network of salvage auction facilities in North America, we market inventory to the right buyers, including dismantlers, recyclers, auto body shops, rebuilders, salvage yards, and exporters.
