Job DescriptionThe xVA Trader resides within U.S. Bank’s Corporate Treasury Department and will include the following responsibilities:
Perform pre-trade pricing of xVA for derivative transactions across commodities, rates and FX asset classes
Execute xVA hedges within prescribed market risk framework in accordance with the XVA desk’s hedging strategy
Analyze and predict dynamic risk changes within the xVA portfolio
Build analytical tools to improve the efficiency and functionality of the desk across various pricing libraries, market data stores, and trade databases
Help develop and test new hedging strategies while measuring the impact on P&L /tail risk
Work closely with internal partners in middle office, market risk, credit risk, accounting and technology
Partner with sales teams to provide on-demand pricing with clear explanations
Help develop emerging pricing frameworks for capital and funding in accordance with the bank’s accounting framework and management objectives
Contribute to multiple long-term project workstreams in xVA which are essential to expanding the desk's cope
Work independently to produce tangible tools and work within a team setting to contribute to project workstreams
Additionally, this individual will:
Support the derivative sales group’s understanding of xVAs and tailor custom structuring solutions
Collaborate with the technology and quantitative teams who supports the xVA modeling effort
Communicate with management and internal risk partners regarding processes, controls, emerging risks, and hedging strategies
Contribute to projects relating to changes in regulation impacting xVAs and other aspects of the trading desk
Create business tools within Python and SQL while operating over large data sets
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, with a concentration in finance/math/economics
Self-motivated and detail oriented
Excellent communication and decision-making skills
Ability to work under pressure and in high paced environment
Ability to resolve complex problems in a short time frame
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate degree with a quantitative focus
Knowledge of SQL, Python, and VBA
Experience using programming languages to construct business tools
Experience in financial mathematics/quantitative finance

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
