Work Experience:     Experience in X-ray, NDT Radiography Level III in a manufacturing environment. Previous casting experience is a plus.

 

Principal Area of     

Responsibility:           Inspect, test, sort parts for defects, and deviations from specifications. May use precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment.

Incumbent must handle hazardous waste in accordance with the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and company policy.

 

Interpret codes, standards, requirements and other contractual documents that control the NDT methods as used by PCC Airfoils – Mentor.

 

Responsible for assuming technical responsibility for the NDT facility and staff.

 

Responsible for selecting the method and technique for a specific inspection.

 

Responsible for preparing and verifying the adequacy of NDT procedure and work instructions.

 

Approve NDT procedure and work instructions for technical accuracy.

 

Responsible for providing or directing approval, training, examination, and certification of personnel.

 

Conduct NDT for the acceptance of parts and document.

 

Responsible for auditing outside agencies to ensure the requirements of the written practices are met.

 

Responsible for training and examination of NDT personnel.

 

Responsible for identifying and assuring implementation of the customer NDT requirements, including, but not limited to, the review of NDT procedure development, technique development/review and approval.

 

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.
