Job Summary
Workstations are at the cutting edge of technology and driving new use cases and innovation for HP’s customers and partners and are one of the fastest growing product categories in the PC Industry. Workstation products are highly technical and evolved, designed directly with customers’ use cases and applications in scope and capable of handling future applications as they provide a huge range of customization and flexibility.
New Product Introduction (NPI) is a core function of Category Product Lifecycle Management and forms the center point of ensuring our exciting products are ready for market deployment.
The NPI scope for this role covers Product Launch Strategy and Execution across all markets, ensuring markets can successfully configure, build and quote Workstation product SKUs. This role also manages demo/seed unit efforts, a key market & sales support function to ensure that prospective customers can touch, test & experience the HP Workstation product experience.
Responsibilities
WORKSTATION NPI & SUSTAINING PROCESS:
Support the NPI process and timelines with market-facing LCMs (Lifecycle Managers), GBU NPI teams and markets to ensure successful Desktop and Mobile Workstation product new product introductions (NPI).Provide product SKU lifecycle chart and utilize SKU creation/ management tools like Viking, XROST/Avamo to build/ troubleshoot SKU readiness for marketBuild and develop web/AI agent tools to help teams quickly access product, component informationManage all market requirements on sustenance of existing roadmaps, enabling new components, extension of technologies, inclusion of new technologies on existing productsTrack transition management and provide needed support to accelerate itProvide needed support for sunsetting old generation of productsSupport, as needed, category communications for markets including Newsletters, Product and Technology MessagingWORKSTATION DEMO/SEED UNIT MANAGEMENT:
Manage a robust demo & PV unit process in conjunction with a 3rd party agency, from gathering needed approvals to placing the orders and tracking the delivery statusTrack and manage assets, acting as escalation point for unit usage optimizationProvide summary of demo unit usage (Proof of Execution) for communication and alignment with alliance partnersAnalyze demo unit usage to provide recommendations to Lifecycle Managers for future product demo unit purchase plans (quantities and configurations).
Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 2-5 years of work experience, preferably in product marketing, operations, or a related field.
