The role
As a Workshop Inventory Clerk, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll provision of a range of spares within the Babcock Defence Support Group (DSG) Land Supply Team in accordance with DSG Land Supply policies, systems and processes.
Day-to-day, you’ll manage associated provisioning activities to ensure optimum spares availability, raising and managing orders to achieve the organisation’s service targets for both internal and external customers. You'll also
Inventory management of a range of spares in accordance with Babcock policies, systems and processes Manage associated provisioning activities to ensure optimum stocking levels are maintained to meet business and customer Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Make full use of data, systems and best practice to meet customer expectations and business performance indicators Process planned orders within the business ERP system taking into account and reacting business priorities Interrogate the business ERP and other internal business systems to confirm preferred vendor and set purchase orders in place to meet planned demand
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Donnington.
Essential experience of the Workshop Inventory Clerk:
High level of Customer service experience Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Knowledge of how to use Microsoft Office e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook
