Locations: South Hooksett, New Hampshire

This position requires mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, the ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, train and instruct others, operate a transit, use hand and powers tools, read blueprints, perform calculations using fractions and decimals, the ability to climb and work on elevated structures or confined spaces, operate test equipment and computers. The individual must be able to proficiently operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, loaders and excavators.

Essential Functions:

Interprets construction drawingsEnsures timely delivery of materials to the construction site; accounts for the condition of all tools and equipmentCoordinates work assignments with other crewsInterprets and implements company policies, practices and safety rules in the supervision of employees and resolution of personnel problemsAppraises and evaluates employees and recommends promotions, demotions and disciplinary action; interviews candidates and provides hiring recommendationProvides training to and instructs others within the department; Plans, schedules and reviews work performed and evaluates subordinatesIdentifies, selects, plans and implements appropriate procedural methods and techniques and makes decisions based on analysis of information.Works effectively with subordinates; superiors, interfacing departments and vendorsAnalyzes operational methods and develops improved procedures as neededPerforms the duties of the System Construction Man 1

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

Ability to communicate effectively, including being able to follow detailed written instructions.Ability to perform basic math functionsProven safe driving recordAbility to work alone and be self-directed

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent                  

Experience:  

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Civil construction.Previous supervisory experience and/or technical direction of others is helpful. Must be able to operate heavy construction equipment such as excavators, backhoes, loaders.Computer experience including Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred.Ability to implement environmental and safety procedures, train others, and participate on teams or committees to help improve processes is desired                                                                         

Licenses & Certifications:

CDL- A Motor Vehicle Driver’s License required

Compensation and Benefits:

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program.  The hourly salary rate for this position is $48.90, plus incentive.  Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of our benefits.

Working Conditions:

Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
