Workers Compensation Coordinator

Responsibilities

All employees are expected to perform their duties in alignment with the vision and values of the organization. The person doing this job is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction in the most cost effective manner. Directs the pre-employment and annual health screening processes tracks vaccinations and communicable disease titers tracks work comp clients tracks medical leave clients and maintains EHS and Workers' Comp records of all hospital personnel.

Works with HR to coordinate pre hire screening for all employees, contracted personnel, volunteers and students . Prepares New Hire file with required test and documents. Prefoms drug screening.
Maintains all EHS and Workers' Comp records in an accurate and timely manner.
Schedules all semi-annual and annual physicals/TB coordinating appointments with employees, managers, Human Resources ensuring all required data is documented. Managers are kept updated with Annual/TB report sent out monthly.
Conducts file audits to ensure that all files are accurate, complete and contain appropriate and mandated infomation for all health care personnel, contracted personnel, volunteers and students as per policy.
Contacts employees out on WC LOA as part of the Transitional Work Program. Monitors and tracks follow up on a bi-weekly basis.
Coordinates the Transitional Work Assignment with the Physician, Manager/supervisor, employee and the accepting TWP department manager.
Gives the EHS portion of the monthly New Employee Orientation. Educates injured workers on preventative precautions. Conducts injury site asssessments.
Attends meetings as required and participates on committees as directed. Work Comp Conference Monthly call. Sends out montly WC injury Scorecard.
Coordinates with DMG, managers and injured worker to conduct Mod Alt job search for injured workers. Monitors and updates the WC program in iVOS, work status for the calculation of accuate dates in TWP progarm. The informaiton is coordinates with Sedgwick, WC for any benefits payments due to the employee.


Qualifications
Three to five years previous experience in an Employee Health settingOffice equipment such as calculators, coopiers, facsimile machines, telephones, files.Proficient PC skillsBilingual (Spanish) a plus.Fire Safety
