A work control lead is responsible for supervising, organizing work orders, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately, tracking the progress of work activities, and coordinating with different departments to maintain efficient workflow within a facility. Main duties include but are not limited to, data entry and record keeping, scheduling and prioritizing work schedules based on urgency and resource availability, inventory management and compliance checks.

This position is contingent based on contract award.

Responsibilities
Major Job Activities:
+ Manages Open/close jobs, order parts, track parts, enter man-hours, etc.
+ Produces reports on work order completion rates, backlog, and other key performance indicators.
+ Provides other information relative to progress and completion of work orders
+ Participates in and assists in preparation of maintenance reports and statistical performance data.
+ Coordinates with Shop Supply and Material Expediting personnel to ensure adequate repair parts and supplies are available to support maintenance requirements.
+ Updates and retrieves equipment record data.
+ Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
+ Ensures adherence to safety regulations and company procedures related to work orders.
+ Produces reports on work order completion rates, backlog, and other key performance indicators.
+ Performs other duties assigned.

Working Environment:
+ This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
+ The worker is subject to environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
Physical Activities:
+ Work will require lifting up to 50 lbs., stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, and prolonged sitting.
+ Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
+ Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire and Safety Regulations and published company work rules.
Qualifications
Education / Certifications:
+ Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience / Skills:
+ Minimum 4 years’ experience in supervisory capacity
+ Must be able to collect and analyze data and make recommendations on such things as mean time to failure on equipment.
+ Must be able to prepare analyses on all aspects of public works branch activities.
+ Must be very knowledgeable and highly proficient in Word, Excel and Power Point programs and be detail oriented.
+ Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required. Computer skills include a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook
