Windows 11 Desktop Technician
Job Title: Desktop Engineer (3 Positions) Location: Anchorage, Alaska Company: TEKsystems Duration: Approximately 10 months, with a strong potential for extension Work Schedule: Onsite, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week during typical daytime business hours Job Description: TEKsystems is seeking three Desktop Engineers to join our client's team in Anchorage, Alaska. These positions involve designing, developing, testing, and implementing Windows 11 andf O365 solutions to enhance business processes, applications, and utilities. The role also includes providing technical support for desktop hardware, software, and operating systems to both local and remote employees, and contractors. Key Responsibilities: + Hardware and Software Management : Evaluate, install, configure, review, and test new and existing hardware, software, and operating systems. This includes image creation solutions such as Microsoft SCCM, Quest KACE, and JAMF Apple Administration console. Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues, including virus/spyware/malware clean-up and remediation. Provide advanced desktop troubleshooting and support for Apple OS and iOS apps. + Technical Support : Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and resolve issues with computers, mobile devices, network connections, point-of-sale systems, printers, and IP phones. Administer Quest KACE, JAMF Apple, and Carbon Black consoles. + Documentation and SOPs : Create and maintain Desktop Services Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and update changes through the Knowledge Support Center. + Ticket Management : Update and resolve Tier I/II support tickets in Cherwell and JIRA systems, documenting root causes and resolutions. Skills and Qualifications: + Core Skills: Desktop troubleshooting, Windows deployment, customer service, Windows 10, imaging, Office 365. + Additional Competencies: Knowledge of Hyper-V, VMware, virtual desktop infrastructure, scripting languages (JavaScript, Python, Perl), and ITIL and Lean Agile methodologies. Experience with remote access tools like BeyondTrust/Bomgar, network wiring standards, and desktop hardware/software maintenance. Experience Level: Intermediate Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
