We are looking for you to join our **Winding Trainee Program** at our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location.
****Progression Through the Winding Training Program: The trainee will begin the program at a Labor Grade 10 wage. After eight months of being in the program, the trainee will be considered for promotion to a Labor Grade 12 starting wage. Passing Scores of Modules, A: “General Background – Winding” and any other two module assessments must be obtained before the trainee can be promoted to a Labor Grade 12 starting wage. The trainee will be promoted to a Labor Grade 14 starting wage upon completion of 3,300 hours and passing scores of all module assessments. All In-house training.**

**Your Challenge:**
+ Perform a wide variety of layout for winding and connecting complex stators and rotors, wind stators complete and connect as required. Perform experimental, prototype and repair winding as assigned. In addition, coordinate and perform any winding associated operations and perform potter-insulation function as assigned.
+ Coordinate winding and associated operations as assigned. This includes the study and understanding of job specifications, procedures, manufacturing information and equipment availability.
+ Review job assignment at work station with order card and drawing and other necessary information, including oral or written instructions from appropriate supervision when required.
+ Examine the above, noting dimensions, tolerances, required tools and operations. Obtain all necessary tools, fixtures, and related equipment.
+ Performs layout for winding complex stators and rotors.
+ Build up, fit, and assemble complete stator coils and rotors and similar apparatus. Prepare and apply potting and insulation compounds, including baking and surface preparation.
+ Wind and connect complex stators and rotors where severe space limitations exist.
+ Perform all final connecting after treating, space wedges for final shrinking into shall and braze terminal gland studs and bus bars.
+ Perform terminal box brazing of shunts to studs.
+ Construct and assemble special components, such as shunts, copper fins, thermocouple boards, thermocouples, fins and fin forming blocks, and specialized production wiring (such as RTD’s).
+ Insulate, fit cut RTR coils, blocks, baffles and braze connections, following drawings and procedures.
+ Perform all operations of RCP, CVN and Trident type windings as required.
+ Must be qualified for all brazing, but no limited to, the brazing qualifications summary sheet.
+ Perform all potting and insulating functions.
+ Hand lift lighter parts, crane available for heavier work.
**What You Bring:**
+ Minimum of high school graduate plus completion of a four-year Electronics/Electrical Apprenticeship, or two-year associate degree in electronics.
+ Must be sole US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
