Overview The Restaurant Outlet Manager will have primary focus on Fireside Lounge while providing support to Barking Frog & Room Service at Willows Lodge. Job Description Direct, plan, and manage front of house operations of Fireside Lounge, with additional oversight of the Barking Frog, and Room Service at Willows Lodge. A majority of time is to be spent on the floor actively coaching, counseling associates and managing the guest experience. Manage and direct activities of all FOH Staff of Fireside Lounge, in addition to Barking Frog and Room Service. Primary management of the daily floor operation of Fireside Lounge with secondary management of the Barking Frog. Manage restaurant floor during service to ensure the highest delivery of guest service. Manage all reservations/special events for Fireside Lounge. Recruit and train FOH staff members. Manage the entertainment programs of Fireside Lounge. Establish specific goals and standards of performance management principles and practices to fully maximize productivity of FOH staff members. Coach, counsel, and discipline FOH staff members. Ensure that all FOH Staff receive appropriate rest periods and meal periods. Create and deliver performance reviews for FOH staff members according to company schedule. Research new developments in the field to incorporate into food and beverage menus. Represent the hotel in the community and demonstrate position of leadership. Foster and maintain relationships with distributors and purveyors. Direct and manage guest recovery opportunities. Serve as liaison between FOH Staff and BOH Leadership. Lead daily pre-shift meeting at start of shift. Work closely with Director of Food & Beverage in meeting and/or exceeding monthly budgetary goals as it relates to revenue and cost percentages to include labor. Represent hotel as Manager on Duty in the absence of Rooms Management. Attend and participate in monthly meeting with Director of Sales & Marketing and Public Relations Manager to promote outlets. Attend and participate in weekly Leadership Meeting with all managers. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $75K - $80K annually Eligible for medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, long term disability insurance, and life insurance under our existing group plans Eligible for 401(k) retirement plan with employer match following 1 year of service under our existing plan 11 days of PTO accrued in the first year Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays Excellent communications skills: verbal and nonverbal Excellent organization skills Wine, beer, and liquor knowledge Expansive food knowledge Excellent palate Ability to manage, direct, schedule, supervise, and discipline employees Excellent attention to detail Ability to prioritize Ability to research new techniques and trends in the industry Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to work independently, autonomously and without supervision Excellent people skills Ability to multi-task and delegate Excellent creative skills Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $75,000.00/Yr. - $80,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
