Responsible for providing leadership for the development of systems focused on quality by working proactively with all managers and employees on continual improvement efforts. Lead the team to achieve quality targets for customers and business goals.

Role and ResponsibilitiesObserve and enforce compliance with all established safety rules and regulationsMonitor Plant Intelligence Center to manage and prioritize change overs, equipment maintenance and repairs, product quality issues, cycle times and labor utilization and attend meetings as required.Ensure adherence to WPS Operational Excellence Manual and all associated policies and processesHelps support building a strong team that is cross functional across all DepartmentsLeads Quality Department personnel through defined processesCoordinates with other departments to meet objectives and to satisfy the customerWork closely with customers regarding quality of productEnsure testing of product and operational proceduresEvaluates data identifying non-conforming material and productsRecommends modifications to specs and standards to achieve optimum qualityCreates and implements statistical control processes as neededTrains associates in standardized work procedures and to recognize quality and to perform duties successfullyReceives, reviews, analyzes and documents customer complaints and/or returnsDrives quality culture to maintain ISO and IATF certificationsRecruits, screens and hires quality department employeesPartners with Human Resources to analyze developmental gaps and optimize training opportunitiesCollects, analyzes and reports data to measure personnel performanceCoaches personnel and completes disciplinary documentation per policyCooperates with other management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, procedures, and goals.Visits and confers with representatives of material and component vendors to obtain information related to supply quality, capacity of vendor to meet orders, and vendor quality standards.Confers with engineers about quality of new products and manufactured products to rectify problems.Functions as Management Representative and reports to top management the performance and need for improvement of the quality management system.Ensures promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.Ensures product quality and has authority to stop nonconforming processes until problems are corrected.Promote employee training objectives and ensure compliance with all WilbertU training requirementsIdentify high potential employees and actively develop team members to build bench strength and plan for successionManage resources to meet or exceed established targets for scrap, customer satisfaction, process auditing and supplier performance.
