GDIT has an opportunity for a Field Service Technician supporting Joint Battle Command-Platform (JBC-P) at Grafenwoehr, Germany. This position requires someone with a current and active secret clearance.
Joint Battle Command-Platform (JBC-P) Field Service Technician:
How you will make an impact:
· Subject Matter Expert on all Joint Battle Command – Platform (JBC-P). Provides Commanders and Staff recommendations on how to best leverage JBC-P systems to meet their operational needs.
· Attend C6/G6/S6 Shift change briefing and participate C6/G6/S6 conference calls to identify issues with JBC-P system outlying sites.
· Attend C6/G6/S6 maintenance meetings to provide clarify on specific issues identified by the unit to assist with or has an impact on unit readiness.
· Mentoring and providing technical training for unit 25Us, 74B and 94Eson system capabilities, fault isolation and repair procedures consistent with the unit’s Communications and Electronic (C&E) shop
· Assist S6/S4/SSA on replacement Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and or entire platform replacement procedures.
· Works in concert with Supply Support Activity (SSA) and CECOM Logistics Assistance Representatives (LARS) to ensure faulty LRUs are processed and replaced through the standard army supply system.
· Provide technical assistance and mentoring of 25Us for de-install and install of system from like platform to like platform.
· Assists the S4/G4/Property Book Officer (PBO) during Fielding of new equipment.
· Ensures all JBC-P equipment is operational and properly accounted for
· Assistance on developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for maintaining and tracking replacement parts, cables and equipment turned in for repair.
· Provides advanced technical training to ensure fault verification.
· Knows status of all JBC-P systems and works with unit thru S-4 / G-4 to ensure parts are validated on order to rectify deficiencies.
· Be able to provide training/explanation/troubleshooting assistance with the Upper Tactical Internet (TI) platforms (AIC/IV4TIMS) and be able to explain the system’s role functionality within the network and its connection to the Lower Tactical Internet (LTI). · Maintain Master hard drive, when new software is fielded, check hard drive to ensure all maps are loaded that your unit require, before mass hard drive burn.

· Become technically knowledgeable and tactically proficient with the configuration and maintenance support needed for the implementation of the Mounted Mission Command-Software (MMC-S), the main software piece of the Mounted Computer Environment (MCE) which makes up part of the Army’s Common Operating Environment (COE).
· Able to leverage the existing JBC-P component hardware to provide seamless continuity of the integration of the MMC-S which utilizes a phased modernization approach with four lines of effort under the MMC Family of Systems: Software, Network, Transport Hardware, and Compute and Store.
What you'll need to be successful:
· Must have an active Secret clearance.
· Must possess a valid US Passport with at least two years remaining prior to departure.
· AA/AS degree or equivalent experience
· Minimum of 3 years of experience with JBC-P and demonstrated experience with Mounted Mission Command-Software (MMC-S)
· Willing to travel.
