Role overview:
As the Wetworks Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing all wetwork trades on site, ensuring that works are completed on time, within budget, and to the standards and specifications of the Company. Your role will involve pre-construction preparation, coordinating construction activities, monitoring quality control, and maintaining health and safety standards throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Construction: Familiarize yourself with the project schedule and program. Confirm the availability of long lead time materials. Verify the appointment of subcontractors for finishing trades. Review drawings and issue lists for accuracy and completeness. Confirm any variations orders (V.O.'s) required for the project. Coordinate the sequence of units for completion.
Construction: Coordinate construction schedules with subcontractors. Confirm starting and completion dates for each sub-contractor. Ensure that materials are ordered and available on site as per schedule. Verify the accuracy of surveyor's pegs for alignment and levels. Coordinate with the brick contractor to ensure alignment with peg positions. Complete all necessary checklists on SnagR for quality assurance.
Experience and Qualifications: Accredited Tertiary qualification. Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction management. Ability to work efficiently in a team environment while adhering to safety standards.
