Well Baby Nursery RN Weekend Days

We’d love for you to become our next **Well Baby Nursery Registered Nurse (RN)** at our 434-bed regional referral center and tertiary-care facility. We offer a work environment that fosters growth, perfect for a nurse looking to move into women's health or for an experienced nurse looking to make a change. + Provides newborn patient care including attending deliveries to advocate for the needs of the newborn(s) after delivery, along with assisting in safe handling of the newborn. + Completes the initial head to toe assessment of newborn(s), performing medication administration, assisting with breastfeeding within 1st hour of life, and performing any ongoing assessments of the newborn(s) during the two-hour transition period from delivery to Nursery or NICU. + Works in conjunction with labor and delivery nurses, obstetricians, and pediatric/neonatology staff. + Requires an associate's degree, Bachelors preferred, along with an active, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse. + Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Through AHA or American Red Cross Required. + Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the pediatric/neonatal field is highly preferred Grandview Medical Center is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and offers programs and services in all medical and surgical areas, including Cardiology, Oncology, Neurology, Women's Health, Mental Health, Digestive Diseases, Orthopedics, Physical Medicine and Rehab, Sports Medicine and Emergency Care. There are more than 600 physicians on the Grandview medical staff representing 30 specialties and subspecialties. The hospital has been named an accredited program for Metabolic and Bariatric surgery by ASMBS & ACS as well as an accredited chest pain center.
