**Swing Shift Welder and Fabricator**
**Job Description**
Responsible for mechanical component fabrication. Knowledgeable of applicable processes and standards covering parts machining, welding, design, and fabrication. Interface with Mechanical Engineers and Designers on fabrication methods and processes. Perform manual tasks such as rust treatment, painting, and materials removal, metal grinding, cutting, and the application of various solutions. Able to work independently and as part of a team, comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights. Maintain and adhere to operational procedures and work instructions, follow work orders, and assist with preparation of reports and appropriate documentation to include following test procedures and recording results.
**Responsibilities**
+ Fabricate mechanical components according to specifications.
+ Ensure adherence to applicable processes and standards in parts machining, welding, design, and fabrication.
+ Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers and Designers on fabrication methods and processes.
+ Perform rust treatment, painting, material removal, metal grinding, cutting, and the application of various solutions.
+ Work independently and as part of a team in confined spaces and at heights.
+ Follow operational procedures and work instructions, complete work orders, and assist with the preparation of reports and documentation.
+ Follow test procedures and record results.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficient in Mig and Tig welding.
+ Experience with fabrication and production welding.
+ Ability to read blueprints.
+ Experience with steel and structural fabrication.
+ Proficient in the use of tape measures and grinding tools.
+ Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
+ Experience with basic powered and hand tools.
+ Proven problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Shop Fabrication
+ AWS certification for various metals
+ Fitting and Flux core welding
+ Experience in leading small project teams and providing guidance to new or entry-level employees
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
+ Vocational or technical education in welding or fabrication

**Work Environment**
This position requires a minimum of 5 years of welding experience. The work involves physical activities such as standing, walking, moving, climbing, bending, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling. The ability to focus on close-range tasks, see in three dimensions, and distinguish all colors is necessary. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, from 2 pm to 12:30 am, with 10-hour shifts.
**Job Type & Location**
This position is based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.11 - $22.11/hr.
