**Job Title: Welder** **Job Description** Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture products according to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction. Utilize welding equipment to make repairs to discontinuities of submerged arc weld seams on steel pipes. **Responsibilities** + Perform weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations. + Utilize welding equipment for repairs on submerged arc weld seams. + Follow customer drawings and specifications to manufacture products. + Proficiently use MIG, flux core, and dual shield welding techniques. + Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings. + Fit and assemble sheet metal and heavy-duty structures. + Utilize conventional and precision measuring instruments. + Perform process inspection, certification, and documentation. + Maintain welding equipment and perform finish grinding using manual and power tools. + Use various hand tools and mobile device applications. + Adhere to safety and housekeeping standards. + Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in assigned welding techniques. + Knowledge of weld set-up parameters (amps, volts, etc.). + Experience with fixtures and welding equipment maintenance. + Ability to utilize conventional and precision measuring instruments. + Experience in process inspection, certification, and documentation. + Skill in finish grinding using manual and power tools. + Successful completion of an internal welding test. + One-year experience in various forms of welding. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to work with mobile device applications and programs. + Adherence to safety standards and housekeeping. + Ability to work in changing ambient temperatures. + Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time. + Must have reliable transportation. + Preferred: One year of welding experience. **Why Work Here?** We offer a flexible schedule and a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k) with employer matching, an employee stock ownership plan, monthly production incentives, and quarterly profit sharing. During downtime, all hands are on deck, which may include tasks such as sweeping and picking up. The work shifts are Monday-Thursday with occasional mandatory work on Friday. Shifts are from 5am-3:30pm and 3pm-1:30am. The weekend shift is from 5am-5:30pm, working 36 hours but getting paid for 40. Steel toe boots, sleeved shirts, and welding hoods are required and are the employee’s responsibility. Hard hats, safety glasses, ear plugs, and protective gloves are provided. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Charles, Missouri. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $39000.00 - $52000.00/yr.
