Tradesmen International is immediately hiring an experienced Flat Welder for projects located in Grand Rapids, MI. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $30/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:     

Retrieves parts from staging areasHelps prep weld elements for priming and finish coatingPositions and secures work piece to table, angle plate, or vises and verifies positionInterprets machine readings and adds or subtracts weight depending on the readingDrills, grinds, chips, or files metal from heavy side or welds, solders, or rivets pieces to light side to correct imbalanceVerifies dimensions of machined work piece with a tape measure within 1/8 of an inch

 

Requirements Must be familiar with MIG, TIG, and STICK weldingMust be equally proficient in all three different types of welding Must be able to read blueprints for specifications such as material type and size of stock and dimensions to be cutMust be able to know specs that pieces need to fall within for conformance Company Details
