**Welder $22+** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Welder proficient in Flux Core and MIG welding to work with heavy gauge carbon steel. The ideal candidate will have experience in reading blueprints and weld symbols, as well as using tape measures and other measurement tools. You will be responsible for fitting and fabrication, operating forklifts and overhead cranes, and occasionally lifting materials for welds. **Responsibilities** + Perform Flux Core and MIG welding on heavy gauge carbon steel. + Interpret blueprints and weld symbols accurately. + Utilize tape measures and measurement tools effectively. + Operate forklifts and overhead cranes. + Fit and fabricate products using hand/power tools. + Grind materials as needed. + Lift and adjust materials, weighing between 50-75 lbs, for welding purposes. + Maintain a clean and organized workspace. **Essential Skills** + Experience in welding, particularly MIG and Flux Core welding. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols. + Proficiency in overhead, flat, and structure welding. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with welding stainless steel. + Familiarity with the use of metatarsal boots/covers. **Why Work Here?** Join a well-known company in Youngstown offering growth opportunities, promotions, and benefits. The work environment involves working with heavy steel in a manufacturing setting. It's a challenging environment that is dirty and not well lit, with a mix of new and old equipment. You will be part of a team consisting of over 50 full-time workers and roughly 120 people in production. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Youngstown, Ohio. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $23.00/hr.
