Position Summary

 

The Welder joins metal parts using high heat application to form a permanent bond.

Responsibilities Operates welding machine that feeds wire to bond materialsPlans work by interpreting welding symbols on blueprintsDetermines welding position and type of metal to be fusedSelects and sets up welding equipmentEnsures welds meet standards and specificationsUses heat from an electric arc to cut and trim metal objectsEmployees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures. Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.

 

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate or Associate degree in weldingMinimum 1 year of welding experience Good mechanical aptitudeAbility to read blueprintsKnowledge of hand tools and power toolsGood communication skillsKnowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniquesSelf-motivated and detail-orientedTeam orientationCrane operation certification required Forklift operation experience preferred, but not required
