Position Summary

The Weight Loss Specialty Dietitian is a Registered Dietitian responsible for providing comprehensive nutrition assessments followed by complex nutrition prescriptions after reaching nutrition diagnosis, monitoring, evaluating and reassessing the progress of patients in the medical weight loss & wellness program. A great amount of passion and resourcefulness is required to thrive in this position. This is a professional level position and works as a team member of a multidisciplinary team. Registered dietitians meet frequently with patients and review labs and make dietary and other lifestyle recommendations where necessary, provide guidance on dietary supplements, recognize nutrient drug interactions and communicate/coordinate with bariatricians or referring physicians on follow-up care.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in food & nutrition, dietetics, or related field, Master preferred (MS, MA) Completion of an ACEND accredited dietetic program and internship Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registry (CDR) in good standing Must have a National Provider Identifier (NPI) or obtain an NPI prior to employment start date Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Current member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics or American Association of Nutrition Certified Dietitian in the state of Washington Certified Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management (CSOWM) preferred, or must obtain within two (2) years of hire Minimum one (1) year or more of in patient or outpatient clinical nutrition experience providing medical nutrition therapy using the Nutrition Care Process preferred Prior experience with adult obesity preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $30.71 - $44.19 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
