We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Web Production Manager

Role purpose

The Web Production Services offers content management services within Digital Production Services. The department supports the Group’s businesses and functions to effectively deliver messages digitally through HSBC public websites and intranets. The primary role of a Web Production Manager (WPM) is overall management and accountability for designated team, websites and website owners. The role will be the point of contact for stakeholders on their day-to-day requirements and serve as first line of escalation. The role will be the final approver in the content publishing workflow – and therefore bear ultimate responsibility in safeguarding quality standards and integrity of content published on HSBC websites based on the website owners’ specifications.The role entails management of production initiatives and oversee delivery of the team including accessibility check, content related search engine optimisation requirements, tagging, support IT and emergency deployment tests, incidents management and publishing risks, and help administer compliance as required by website owners. The role holder is expected to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams eg IT, marketing, vendor, and other SMEs to identify technical gaps and resolution.The role is required to have a level of understanding of content management systems used by HSBC and will have to achieve competency in those systems.The Web Production Manager is expected to assist and/or report to the identified chapter lead within the service. The chapter lead will then be responsible for the team’s objectives and performance review, supporting the Production lead in making sure the overall goals and strategic alignment both on the service and business are met.

Principal accountabilities

Guarantee a high-quality of work by reviewing own and team’s output, identify skills gaps, and provide training as neededEnsure delivery of projects according to specification, cost, and timeline by regularly monitoring requirements, planning, and directing production in collaboration with different teams eg IT, vendor, marketing, etc.Assigning work to staff, submit of website related reports and improve production metricsDevelop professional and harmonious relationships with different stakeholders through constant communication aimed to obtain a clear understanding of the business strategic objectives, support planning and execution
