Job Description:
The Web and Social Media Coordinator for Callaloo Literary Journal is responsible for managing the journal’s online presence across its website and social media platforms. This role requires a creative and tech-savvy individual who can enhance the journal’s digital footprint, engage with its audience, and support fundraising and communication efforts.
This position is hybrid-eligible.
This is a part-time fixed-term position, renewable annually from January 1, 2025, to June 30, 2029, dependent on funding.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field, plus 2-3 years experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven experience managing websites and social media accounts, preferably within a literary or cultural organization.
Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and analytics.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a flair for engaging online audiences.
Experience with website content management systems (CMS) and basic HTML/CSS knowledge is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with fundraising strategies and tools is an advantage.
Creative, proactive, and passionate about literary arts and digital media.
