Wealth Management – KYC, Vice President

In J.P. Morgan, the Wholesale KYC Operations (WKO) team plays a critical role in ensuring that as an organization, we are compliant with multiple regulations, in order to protect the bank’s reputation and financial assets.

As a Wealth Management - KYC Vice President, you will be at the forefront of managing the KYC of Wealth Management APAC clients. You will play a pivotal role in helping us achieve high performance and quality, while ensuring that AML and KYC policies are adhered to. As a subject matter expert in the Wealth Management sector, you will have the opportunity to bridge the knowledge gap, develop our team, and build strong partnerships with Bankers/Banking Team, LOB Operations, and Compliance. You will manage these relationships to promote timely action and resolve challenges, making a significant impact on our operations.

Job Responsibilities

Manage the team’s pipeline/performance against key metrics and objectives, consistently helping the team meet SLAs Provide own/broader team with subject matter expertise and guidance to perform their job function; coaching team to make decisions that are effective and well-grounded based on guidelines, policies, and insights Cultivate an environment of strong team work and client focus Operate as escalation point for the team Lead collaborative dialogue with partners/stakeholders to advance the book of work, improve processes/systems, understand changes, resolve challenges Evaluate and present solutions to improve controls across the organization and process Identify and execute initiatives to maintain a robust end to end proces

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines At least 8 years of KYC or related experience, with strong understanding of KYC, AML and regulatory requirements (i.e. HKMA and MAS) Candidate must have experience covering Wealth Management or similar sector Must be able to work independently and as a team, to contribute effectively under fast-paced environment with strong sense of ownership and responsibility. Outstanding client management, partnership building, leadership and direct experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders, with the ability to handles escalations and drive to resolutions. Strong research, analytical and comprehension skills, with ability to critically analyze client risk / controls. Ability to quickly grasp/learn concepts, procedures and use it to identify & drive improvements in process/systems 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

KYC experience within the Wealth Management sector  Fluency in written/spoken Mandarin  Understand the firm’s KYC requirements inclusive of Customer Identification Program (CIP), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), Local Due Diligence (LDD), Specialized Due Diligence (SpDD) and Product Due Diligence requirements (PDD)
