Walt Disney Imagineering is the creative force that imagines, designs and brings to life all Disney theme parks, resorts, attractions and cruise ships worldwide. Working across a spectrum of disciplines that range from creative and conceptual to scientific and technical, Imagineers blend an innovative mixture of storytelling, art, science and technology to create immersive experiences, memorable destinations, and innovative entertainment for families around the globe.
The Intern will work with the team responsible for developing and communicating creative concepts and updates, relevant content/guidelines for theme park attractions, and/or other themed entertainment venues.
The approximate date of this internship is June 2025 to January 2026 and will be located in Glendale, CA.
What You Will Do
The Creative Development Inclusive Strategies team collaborates and strategizes with Imagineers in their creative design and storytelling process, to ensure that all Disney Experiences are relevant, inclusive, and welcoming to our Guests. The team is dedicated to connecting Guests and Consumers to the Disney brand and IPs, strategically, authentically, creatively, and emotionally, by influencing and creating innovative and immersive experiences, entertainment, and products. You will have the opportunity to:
Work on multiple projects that foster growth, learning, and awareness of different culturesCollaborate with various internal functional managers, external speakers, and organizationsSupport the team in developing the scope and schedule for various projects/programsCoordinate logistics for various Inclusive Strategies programs, guidelines, and guardrailsCollaborate with other team members in developing ideas which may include participation in brainstorming sessions for updating current or new experiencesDevelop and design creative presentations and other materialsResearch various topics focusing on culture, global communities, and guest experienceRequired Qualifications & Skills
Familiarity with inclusive standard processesAbility to work with diverse group of peopleProficient knowledge in multiple cultures, subjects, styles, and artistic mediaExperience with written communication platformsPossess excellent creative problem-solving skillsGood visual storytelling and data interpretation skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to communicate clearlyTraining in arts, hospitality, theater, or entertainmentPreferred Qualifications
Proficiency in Presentation tools such as Keynote or PowerPointProficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Office SuiteFamiliarity with cloud file storage systemsBasic Photoshop or Illustrator skills (or other Adobe Suite products)Ability to coordinate multiple layers of documentationProficiency in Research tools and/or database management toolsEducation
Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher attending an accredited college/university, earning a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Fine Arts in the arts or in a related design field.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.Be at least 18 years of age Possess unrestricted work authorizationAdditional Information
Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work Must be fully available for the duration of the internship Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship in Glendale, CAMaterial Required

The pay rate for this role in California is $26.50 per hour for undergraduate students and $27.50 per hour for graduate level students.
