Water/Wastewater Engineer, Jordan
The CDM Smith International Development Group is seeking a water/wastewater civil engineer to co-lead the planning, design and procurement of the National Conveyor Project (NCP) Readiness Infrastructure which includes more than 120 km of critical water pipelines ranging in diameter from 700 to 1400 mm, 4 new reservoirs and pump stations infrastructure to convey the desalinated water from the NCP for distribution throughout the middle and northern governorates in Jordan.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop detailed designs for water pipelines, including layout, sizing, and material selection.
• Perform hydraulic modeling and analysis to ensure efficient and reliable system performance.
• Prepare technical reports, design documents, and construction specifications.
• Prepare the tender documents and lead the procurement process.
• Conduct site assessments and field investigations to gather data for design and modeling purposes.
• Lead the collection of relevant data from governmental authorities and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase, including reviewing submittals and responding to RFIs (Requests for Information).
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Collaborate closely with senior BWI and CDM Smith project staff and manage a project team, including engineers, international subject matter experts, subcontractors, drafters, and technicians, to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
• Manage and mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Participate and lead client and stakeholder meetings and presentations to discuss project progress and technical solutions
• Serve as a point of contact for the Ministry of Water and Irrigation and the water utilities,
• Serve as the local lead for the processes of project planning and design, and reporting.
