-With general direction, performs basic to high complexity calculations, modeling, data analysis, on site evaluations and/or other similar evaluations for water resources projects (Ex: climate change adaptation; coastal analysis and engineering; collection systems; CSOs; dams; drainage; economics and planning; ecosystem restoration; flood management; green infrastructure; groundwater; hydroelectric power; hydrology and hydraulics; integrated resource planning; irrigation; open channels; outfalls; planning; pressure conduits; probability and risk analysis; reservoirs; sedimentation; spillways, gates, and outlet works; stream, rivers and wetlands; stormwater management; urban watersheds; water law and regulations; watershed management; water supply planning and systems; and water quality, etc.).
-Provides technical guidance and training to more junior staff.
-Reviews the work of more junior staff.
-Collaborates with sales staff to create proposals in response to current and potential client requests for proposal (RFPs).
-Reviews draft proposals for adherence to firm, industry, state, local and federal regulations and best practices.
-Meets with current and potential future clients to review their current and future design needs.
-Contributes to firm's TKM by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, etc.
-Submits technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals. Performs other duties as required.
-Attends conferences, symposia, etc. to improve the visibility of the firm's products and services in collaboration with applicable sales staff.
