Primary Responsibilities
In the role of a W/WW Conveyance EIT, we'll count on you to:
Create detailed designs of water and wastewater pumping systems, pressurized pipelines and gravity pipelines under instruction from the Project Engineer and Project Manager Prepare plans forpipelines and pumping stations, write specifications, analysis and study-level reports for water and wastewater distribution and collection systems, determine appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and selection, and work collaboratively with the owner design team members Assist with Construction Administration including shop drawing reviews and field inspections Perform other duties as needed Collaborative design development is key to our continued success. As such, applicants should expect to be in the office at least four days per week.Preferred Qualifications
Engineer in Training (EIT) certificateCandidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progressionInterest andexperience designing water/wastewater pumping and conveyance systems Proficiency intechnical reportwriting Must be able to work in a team environment Experience with hydraulic calculations for pump and/or pipeline sizing Experience with AutoCAD, Google Earth, and/or ArcGIS Experience with GISAbility to demonstrate adept writing skillsRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent fieldInterest or experience designing water/wastewater treatment facilitiesAutoCAD and/or MicroStation experienceMicrosoft Office experienceMust be able to work in a team environmentAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
