PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lift baskets, tubs, pallets on an indoor surfaceWash, Weigh and Box product from machine shopClean and perform daily and monthly maintenance on central weigh equipmentRun bowls, shakers and retina to sort productObtain certification to operate forkliftOperate annealing ovensCheck soap concentration in parts washer to maintain optimal chemistryObtain training and understand procedures for control of hazardous wastePerform daily inventory cycle countPerform daily crosschecks of production inputKeep inventory of supplies and enter purchase orders as necessary for central weigh areaAssist in monthly brass rod inventorySweep and mop area at end of shift to maintain clean work environmentCommunicate with supervision to set prioritiesPerform minor maintenance on equipment and assist maintenance in major repairsIdentify visual quality defects on productAbility to work off shifts as needed to support demandMaintains work area per the company’s visual workplace management system (5-S) guidelinesComplies with company policies; work rules; safety requirements; quality standards; and applicable local, state, and federal legislationPerforms other duties as needed and assigned
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
