MECHANIC\ MAINTENANCE
Hours: Primarily 7:30 am-4:00pm with occasional evening hours each month,
Position Purpose
Wage for the position will be $17-20+/hr, full-time with vacation and insurance benefits
Maintain and assist with the development of the overall processes of the supply and equipment department.
qualifications
+ Minimum of 18 years of age
+ Fluent in the English language, read/writing/speaking
+ Good oral and written communication skills
+ Demonstrates initiative in the development of department and assigned tasks.
+ Basic mathematical proficiency
+ Computer proficiency – MSWord, Excel, general internet use and research
+ Valid Driver's License with insurable driving record
+ UW Health Vaccine requirements, criminal background checks, clearance for all customer facilities [paid for by EC]
+ Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
Professional Demeanor
Our Warehouse Specialist will represent Environment Control directly to its customers. Personal communication, appearance, attitude, and performance must therefore be professional at all times. Refer to the Employee Handbook for policies and procedures regarding company philosophy, proper conduct, and dress code. An EC polo shirt must be worn at all times along with a photo ID badge. You will be provided two EC polo shirts.
areas of responsibility
1. Supplies and Equipment
A. Pull supplies for delivery and maintain a working knowledge for all facilities, including:
+ Delivery schedules, closet locations, loading docks, quantities, special instructions, hours for delivery
+ Perform regular spot checks to ensure proper care of Supply & Equipment at facilities
+ Inspection of janitor closet, chemicals, and consumables storage areas for cleanliness, neatness
+ Maintain a professional attitude with customers and any contacts at each account
B. Promptly respond to all Supply & Equipment requests from Orange QC Program, Operations Administrator, Managers, and Customers as directed by an Operations Administrator or Operations Manager.
C. Monitor supply inventory levels in storage room, garage and the available back-up equipment
+ Report ordering needs and parts requirements to Operations Manager or Operations Administrator
+ Tag equipment for repair and put in appropriate location for repair department
+ Rotate/Replace equipment according to schedules and repair needs
+ Provide savings ideas to improve effectiveness and/or efficiency
+ Maintain list of equipment, including model, make, serial number. Update list as needed.
+ Complete an inventory of all supplies at least weekly, including floor care supplies
D. Provide repair to damaged or broken equipment
+ Perform repair of broken equipment and provide preventative maintenance to project team equipment.
+ Trouble shoot equipment performance issues and provide solutions to fix and repair equipment; at the office and sometimes on job sites
+ Maintain a log of preventative maintenance performed on project team equipment.
+ supply support and training for the same in each Branch Office
2. Locked Storage Area and Garage/Warehouse
+ Maintain locked storage and garage areas in a neat and orderly condition
+ Put away supplies designated for Stock and prepare supplies received that are for deliveries when in Receiving/Warehouse
+ Launder cleaning rags, mop heads, dust mop heads, fiber towels
+ Monitor supply of available back-up equipment
+ Maintain the supply cabinets with proper inventory
3. Vehicles
+ Provide monthly inspections of the company Fleet vehicles and identify body work, safety issues, or regular maintenance that needs to be performed. Assist in the scheduling and correction of issues
+ Provide assistance in the cleanliness and care for vehicles
+ Asist in getting vehicles and trailers outfitted with floor and wall protections; including safety controls to protect employees and vehicles from injury and damage
+ Schedule and transport vehicles to dealerships or chosen mechanics for service
+ Monitor and fill vehicles with gas to ensure they are at or above ½ full before the start of each shift [7am and 4:45pm]
4. General
+ Maintain the integrity and security of the keys provided for Delivery
+ Provide feedback on accounts, supply changes, condition of the janitor closet, shelving needs, safety issues.
+ Assist with any light maintenance needs in the EC office
+ Be prepared to assist when special situations arise or when emergencies happen that affect supplies, equipment, and servicing our customer.
+ Provide support to the Project Crew as fill in for day porters and project team positions
Warehouse Specialist will have yearly performance reviews and we request a 30-day advance notice of separation for this position.
