Position Overview
Under the general supervision of the Maryland Logistics Center Zone 3 Team Manager, the Warehouse Technician Associate I is responsible for ensuring that the following business areas in Zone 3 get executed: all Containers, including Pre-Clean Commodities (PCCs), Simply Asia (SA), QN Reclassification/Relabeling requests, Lost Pallets Strategy, ZM002 (HVP & FMC), act as the main SAP SME for Z3, Map and Document new and existing Processes among other assigned tasks. This role is designed to assist Team Managers and Crew Leaders with specific processes that impact the Order Selection and Receiving, Shipping, and Warehouse businesses.
Key Responsibilities
Process Documentation Document new and current processes, and partner with the CI Team to get these on the correct template and format. Organize and coordinate training events with the CI Team regarding new and current processes. Container Unloading Partner with the Imports Team, the MLC Shipping Office Team, and Zone 3 Team Managers, Crew Leaders, and Coordinators to track and update all containers scheduled to be dropped at the MLC. Coordinate the labor needed on all Shifts to unload containers by reaching out to the Zone 3 Team Managers, Crew Leaders, Coordinators, Training Coordinator, and Agency Employee Leads. Includes trapping all containers that arrive without pheromone traps, PCCs, and SA containers as required by the MLC QA Team. Guaranteeing that each PCC product is getting a McCormick label while it is getting unloaded and that the First Article Inspection (FAI) is been done and submitted on time to the MLC QA Team. Likewise, as PCCs are getting unloaded, we are staging the product needed by the MLC QA Team on the QA Sampling drop locations for them to collect the required samples, before putting away the PCCs in the rack locations. Partnering with the Zone 3 Crew Leaders, Coordinators, and Shipping Office Team, to make sure the receiving schedule gets updated on every shift to reflect the Container status once they arrive at the MLC. QN Reclassification/Relabeling Partnering with the MLC QA Team, Zone 3 Team Managers, Crew Leaders, and Coordinators, to track and update the QN Reclass/Relabeling Requests from the MLC QA Team and other McCormick Teams (Supply Planning, Customer Service, etc.). Coordinate the labor needed on A, B, and C Shifts by reaching out to the Zone 3 Crew Leaders, Training Coordinator, and Agency Employee Leads. Guaranteeing that each product is getting an updated McCormick label and that the First Article Inspection (FAI) is been done, scanned, and loaded at the end of every shift. Partnering with the MLC QA Team, Zone 3 Team Managers, Crew Leaders, and Coordinators, to make sure the Reclass/Relabeling tracker gets updated on every shift. Lost Pallets Partnering with the MLC CC Team, Zone 3 Team Managers, Crew Leaders, and Coordinators, to track and update the weekly Lost Pallets. Coordinate the labor needed on A, B, and C Shifts by reaching out to the Zone 3 Crew Leaders to search for lost pallets when above the KPI target. Participating in the Weekly Capacity Meeting to provide any input as needed regarding the Zone 3 Lost Pallets. Review weekly the Error Log and the Put-Away Error report to provide updates and suggestions to the Zone 3 Team Managers and work on course correction actions. Partnering with the Zone 3 Team Managers and Crew Leaders to create, implement, and sustain an attainable strategy around the main drivers contributing to the Z3 lost pallets. Monitor the Performance Journal for CC error coaching and partner with the Zone 3 Team Managers and Crew Leaders to get these resolved promptly. Other general responsibilities Actively participate as a SAP SME regarding AFS SAP transactions. Backfills for Team Managers Housekeeping/sanitation activities – responsible for a designated area within the MLC – to be tour-ready at all times. Execute additional duties assigned per business needs.

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Warehousing/Distribution fields is required.
• Demonstrated experience operating Sit-Down, Reach Truck, and Dock Stocker PIT equipment
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions, and standard operating procedures, required
• Experience following detailed procedures and completing accurate paperwork required.
• Ability to write complex reports and correspondence, and effectively present information in one-on-one and group settings to customers, vendors, and clients among others.
