Warehouse Technician
The Warehouse Technician operates mobile equipment to load product in and out of the warehouse and onto trucks and rail cars to meet customer requirements.- This position also works with other technicians in the Warehouse area to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are regularly achieved.- The successful candidate will learn and perform all Occupational Skills within the Warehouse Technician job group. Billing Assistant + Issue Load plan for both rail and trucks. + Process and troubleshoot shipments. + Waybills rail cars. + Diagrams load configurations for shipments. - Shipper Responsibilities + Safely operates forklift to load trailers. + Inspects all incoming inventory for damage and takes appropriate action. + Identifies and reacts to product defects – last quality check before shipment. + Uses first in first out (FIFO) methodologies. + Diagrams load configurations for shipments. + Processes bill of ladings and pick tickets as required. + Inspects, documents and receives inbound products. + Performs cycle counts for raw materials and finished good products. + Maintains and understands all equipment in the area. + Bags product for rail car deliveries. ----- Shipper (w/Rail Switch) Responsibilities + Maintains and understands all equipment in the area. + Safely operates forklift to load rail cars. + Bags product for rail car deliveries. + Inspects all incoming inventory for damage and takes appropriate action. + Identifies and reacts to product defects – last quality check before shipment. + Uses first in first out (FIFO) methodologies. + Diagrams load configurations for rail. + Processes bill of ladings and pick tickets as required. + Operates rail car mover and conducts rail switches. + Secures, preps and loads rail cars. + Inputs daily receiving data into the database. + Inspects, documents and receives inbound products. + Performs cycle counts for raw materials and finished good products. - **Required Qualifications** + Requires a high school diploma, GED or two to three (2-3) years of manufacturing experience. + Team player with good interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills to work effectively in corporate, manufacturing and team environments. + Good reasoning and mechanical aptitude. + Ability to safely operate a forklift. **Preferred Qualifications** + Manufacturing experience in a team-based environment. + Familiarity with Safety Programs in a manufacturing environment. + Familiarity with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. + Good understanding of quality and board specifications. **Physical Demands** + Must be capable of wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) necessary to comply with government and company safety standards. + Job includes tasks that require bending. + Work at heights with fall restraint system. + Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
