Job Description

This position is based within the UK Production facility, shipping products to customers across the UK and Europe

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Loading & unloading deliveries - Forklift truck training will be provided if requiredSorting inbound deliveries into correct locations (garments, raw materials for production)Moving items around the facility based upon job requestsPicking, packing and preparing goods for dispatch (UK & Export)Preparing necessary dispatch paperwork (UK & Export)Understanding of Import and Export procedures to ensure correct paperwork is supplied with goodsWorking with order management system (Microsoft Dynamics) to release stock and generate necessary paperworkInventory/stock control - Cycle Counts Liaison with Customer Service, Application and Commercial teams to respond to queries and keep teams informed of progressCustomisation of shipments according to customer specific requirements, including the construction of custom-made retail packsActively contributing to, and participating in continuous improvement initiativesBe a Health and Safety champion - it is every worker’s responsibility to ensure that the health and safety procedures are followed, and to monitor the safety of their work areaGeneral housekeeping - Avery Dennison prides itself on its clean working environment, and team members are responsible for ensuring that the department is kept clean and tidy

QualificationsRelevant warehousing experienceCurrent forklift truck licence preferredComputer Literate – must be confident using computer applications, however training will be given on in-house systemsTeam player – must enjoy working in a team environment, with the ability to liaise with other members of the team to get a task doneFlexible - able to adapt to a constantly changing environment and willing to take on additional or alternative tasks as requiredInitiative – can identify where improvements could be made, able to implement improved working practices and work independently if required.High attention to detail and accuracyExperience of import and export shipping would be preferred
