**SUMMARY**
The Warehouse Supervisor has the general responsibility of coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities on a daily basis.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
Under the direction of the Operations Manager and/or General Manager the Supervisor is responsible for supervision of the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of product in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives. Must perform monthly process and safety audits.
**Shipping/Receiving**
Supervise and coordinate unloading of inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product, and the picking and staging of outbound shipment in accordance with the required levels of productivity. Verify required inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers, ensuring that all products are properly counted.
**Quality**
Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
**Scheduling**
Participate in establishing work schedules. Ensure that the schedules are correctly implemented and that jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly.
**Safety, Sanitation, Security**
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety. Conduct operations in accordance with OSHA and MSDS standards.
Labor Management
Direct the operations of the warehouse work team to achieve prescribed objectives. In collaboration with the Operations Manager and develop and maintain a productive work team by reducing overtime and temporary labor while maintaining a work force that is conscious of both housekeeping and safety.
**Housekeeping**
Routinely verify that aisle and building audits are performed by warehouse associates.
Create and manage programs to keep tools and equipment in designated areas; schedule cleaning of equipment; store product in neat straight rows inside painted perimeters.
**Inventory Management:**
Help ensure current and accurate inventory control through the managing of shipping and receiving guidelines
**Other Duties**
Other duties or responsibilities as requested by Management.
**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES** (IF ANY)
Ensure work instructions and equipment operations are followed.
Ensure compliance of policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED)
Effective communication and problem solving skills are necessary. Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision and pay strong attention to detail, accuracy, and accomplishing tasks in a timely manner. Effective management and supervisory skills are required in addition to warehousing experience.
**Education and/or Experience**
College Degree Preferred
1-3 years experience
**Mathematical Skills**
Intermediate

The employee also occasionally lifts and/or moves objects up to 75 pounds from knee high to slightly overhead in an 8-10 hour shift handling 600 – 1200 tires. Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and distance vision. Must be able to work at least 25 feet above floor level.
