**Education / Training:**
• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred;
• 5+ years of proven leadership with warehouse experience;
• 3+ years of in inventory control;
• Experience using SAP, LN or other related software.

• Assigns and supervises daily work activities of employees;
• Emphasizes goals to employees to ensure they are being met; monitors output levels and adjusts accordingly;
• Coaches team members to meet Safety, Quality, Efficiency, and Cost metrics;
• Complies with all Progress Rail and OSHA safety procedures that make sure employees do the same; proactively audits work areas and employees to continuously improve safety;
• Issues corrective guidance and/or disciplinary actions when warranted/needed;
• Determine crewing and overtime needs;
• Work with internal teams to identify and resolve issues regarding improving processes;
• Work with higher levels of management to determine needs of product to customers and manages processes to complete those needs;
• Systematically picking and packing customer and supplier orders;
• Create shipping paperwork;
• Work with transportation teams to schedule deliveries;
• Operate forklifts to load and unload trailers;
• Managing special repair and return processing;
• Working with suppliers and planners to resolve any shipment discrepancies.
**Qualifications and Experience:**
• Willing to travel between Kansas City area facilities to support operations as needed;

• Must have experience operating a forklift;

• Strong analytical, problem – solving and attention to details;
• LEAN and 5S experience;
• Microsoft Office Skills.
Essential and Physical Activities Functions
• Strength – Position typically involves oversight in an industrial environment. Frequent standing, sitting, and walking. Occasional light to medium-level lifting (up to 35 pounds);
• Motion – Position regularly requires standard motions associated with leading and demonstrating in an industrial environment. Frequent reaching, handling, grasping, carrying, pulling. Occasional stooping, kneeling, vrouching;
• Vision/Hearing Requirements – Constant verbal communications, including both talking and hearing;
• Work Environment – Position is Safety Sensitive and will require the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Position will involve work in a non-temperature-controlled environment. Position is located in an industrial environment, including occasional exposure to noise (85+ decibels), occasional exposure to temperature changes and/or extreme temperatures, heavy machinery, hazardous materials, and other hazardous working conditions;
• Emotional Demands – High level of responsibility in a hazardous environment. Must be able to lead a diverse team in a production environment. Requires interpersonal skills while sustaining very high standards;
• Safety – Position is Safety Sensitive and will require the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
