Warehouse Specialist Marine Corps
Summary CHENEGA FACILITIES MANAGEMENT, LLC. Fort Sill, OK The Warehouse Specialist Marine Corps shall be responsible to the Supply Technician for the Marine Detachment for accomplishing assigned duties according to department procedures and Army policies, directives, and regulations. Responsibilities Unloads conveyances, moves supplies by handcart or other mechanized conveyances; packs, unpacks, sorts, stacks, warehouses, and relocates items as required. Places stock in appropriate temporary or permanent storage locations, according to specific oral or written work instructions. Makes in-storage checks for obvious needs for maintenance, vermin control, damage, shelf life, or deterioration. Locates items manually or by referring to location placards or bin labels; compares identifying information on documents with bin labels; compares identifying information on documents with bin labels, bin markings, and container markings. Selects stock in quantities indicated by the release document, assembles picked items and moves stock to locations within a well prescribed overall storage plan. Closes documents, IAW the Automated Information System (AIS) after ensuring that supplies are shipped in properly marked, tagged, and labeled containers. Performs customer support functions—those processes used to support the total requirement of customers to gain logistics support in both combat and peacetime situations. Must be able to support automated and non-automated customer units. Other duties as assigned Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent. Minimum one (1) year of experience as a warehouse specialist at the DS/GS installation or depot level of supply, preferred Licensed to operate forklifts, preferred. Possess and continuously maintain a current driver’s license Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of basic computer skills Knowledge of BARBRA SIRS, ATLAS 5.0, GCSSS preferred Training in supply/storage operations preferred Ability to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) for computer access. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds alone or 100 pounds with assistance.
