Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred0 to 1 year experience driving a forklift0 to 1 year experience operating a band saw preferred0 to 1 year in Carpentry, Manufacturing Environment preferredMust be able to lift and move up to 65 lbsMust have good hand and eye coordinationMust be able to follow verbal instructions and meet production standardsSafety minded and detail orientatedMust maintain a clean and orderly work areaCapable of standing and walking for extended periods of time (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8 hour day)Able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis

 

Responsibilities Saw Operation and MaintenanceAdjusts saw blades by turning hand wheels, pressing pedals, levers, and panel buttonsDetermines sawing blade and cutting procedureClears machine jams using hand toolsUnclamps and removes work pieceCounts, sorts and stacks finished work pieces and disposes of waste materialLubricates and cleans machineSharpens or replaces defective or worn blades and bands

Performs other duties as assigned
