Seeking a Warehouse Manager for a global materials company supplying the maritime industry. This opportunity will report to the GM and have a direct impact on SOP's and strategic operational function of this 30,000+ sq ft site. Seeking a motivated warehouse professional who is organized and willing to accept the challenge of growing out this location as business continues to increase. **Job Title: Warehouse Manager** **Location: Houston, South East - Hobby Airport Area** Competitive Salary + Bonus + 6% 401k Match **What’s the Job?** + **Logistics Management** : + Oversee receiving, storage, and dispatch of mooring lines, rigging equipment, and safety gear, ensuring traceability and adherence to maritime safety standards + Coordinate with global supply chain teams to manage stock levels and meet project deadlines for maritime clients + Implement warehouse layouts to maximize space utilization for bulky or irregularly shaped maritime equipment + **Safety & Compliance** : + Enforce strict safety protocols for handling heavy machinery (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) and hazardous materials + Ensure compliance with international standards for mooring line maintenance and retirement, such as the LMP (Line Management Plan) + **Team Leadership** : + Train and supervise warehouse staff on product knowledge, operational efficiency, and safety procedures + Schedule shifts and allocate tasks to meet high-volume demands during peak shipping seasons + **Equipment & Reporting** : + Maintain warehouse tools and machinery, including routine inspections and repairs + Generate reports on inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and incident logsRequired Skills & Qualifications + **Experience** : + 5+ years in warehouse management, preferably in industrial, or heavy-equipment sectors + Familiarity with mooring systems, synthetic fibre ropes, or related maritime products is a big plus + **Certifications** : + Forklift operation license + **Technical Skills** : + Proficiency in warehouse management software and inventory tracking systems + Knowledge of general safety regulations and ISO standards + **Soft Skills** : + Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities to liaise with suppliers, port authorities, and clients.
