Overview Warehouse Manager – Supply Chain Industry – R500K – R400K

Hire Resolve’s client is a leading plastics company situated in Cape Town, which is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Warehouse Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities: Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock Cycle counting of stock is performed throughout the month and all variances investigated and resolved before month end Cross department issue and receiving of stock in the form of raw materials and finished goods and investigate and resolve differences between theoretical and actual issues/receipts on a daily basis Prepare annual budget Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, obsolete stock report etc) Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided Communicate with other departments to achieve overall effective results Responsible for security of stock and implementing procedures to pick up on discrepancies immediately Manage all company vehicles, vehicle licensing and making sure the vehicles are always roadworthy, neat and well maintained Requirements: BS degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain management or business administration Valid driver’s license Valid forklift license
