Warehouse Coordinator Summary Title:Warehouse Coordinator ID:1720 Location:Grand Rapids, MI Department:Operations More about this job > Description JOB PURPOSE: Coordinate construction material receiving, documentation, and storage. Locate and issue job site material. Oversee delivery of materials to job sites and customer locations. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: + In the warehouse, ensure all items are stored according to field work procedures and company standards. + Prepare and maintain current inventory records for materials received, stored, issued and transferred off-site. + Order materials and maintain stock material inventory, monitor minimum levels, and prepare purchase requisitions when stock is below minimum level. + Make construction material deliveries for job sites and customer locations. + Perform physical inventory against inventory control records to ensure accuracy. + Inspect warehouse for maintenance issues. Maintain cleanliness and organization. + Use company vehicle to pick up materials and tools from supplier, then deliver items to the work sites. + Occasionally operate forktrucks to load or unload materials. + Completes material documentation on completed work order documentation. QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Certifications + Required : High school diploma or equivalent + Preferred : Associate’s degree or trade school certificate Experience + Required : 6-12 months’ material control/warehouse experience + Preferred : 2+ years related experience + Functional / Technical Competency Requirements + Required : Valid driver’s license. Basic computer proficiency; comfortable working in Microsoft Excel and Word. Able to learn and use AS400 system effectively. Excellent organization and recordkeeping skills. Professional demeanor with vendors, customers and peers. Working knowledge of material control activities, documentation requirements, plus basic knowledge of and ability to identify construction material. Responsible and reliable. Secure loads on a truck; put small trailer behind a pickup truck. + Preferred : Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) CORE COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS: + Safety Focus + Detail Orientation + Time Management + Organization WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
