Responsible for Vendor and Contract Management of regionally owned Warehouse related contracts in the Logistics Region, analyzing existing contracts and ensuring proactive planning of renewals. Ensure overall Warehouse related commercial strategy in the region aligns with global strategies and regional business goals to achieve the best possible contractual set-up for Warehouse related suppliers in the Logistics Region.
Responsible for contract & vendor management for warehouse related contracts and business partners in the Logistics Region based on agreed central-regional-local responsibility split and thresholds
• Responsible for contract lifecycle management, including proactive planning of contracts renewals/terminations
• Secure compliance with legal, regulatory and internal policy requirements for commercials
• Coordinate tactical and strategic Vendor Management meetings to track and evaluate supplier performance against contract terms and KPIs, in close collaboration with local, regional and central teams
• Ensure overall regional commercial strategy in alignment with regional and global needs, objectives and strategies, also contributing to defining the global Warehouse related commercial category goals together with Central teams
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract data to enable benchmarking and continuous improvements
• Evaluate insights and lead standardization of contracts, SLAs, rate cards together with key regional and local teams to improve decision-making and category strategy development
• Analyze existing contracts (quality, cost, risk, liabilities, vendor performance, contract setup, etc.) with key regional and local teams also initiating appropriate actions
• Manage contract amendments, including assessing the impact of proposed changes, securing proper documentation and follow defined global and regional governance/approval process
• Ensure a clear understanding of contractual responsibilities by communicating contract terms, obligations and requirements to relevant stakeholders
• Support and provide guidelines to local teams in Contract and Vendor Management for locally owned contracts (hand scanners, forklifts etc.), also acting as escalation point in dispute resolution and performance management discussions
• Provide training and guidance to local and regional teams on contract and vendor management procedures
• Actively stay up-to-date on global logistics end-to-end operational status, KPIs, issues and risks
• Identify sustainability opportunities and challenges from a social, economic and environmental perspective. What you need to succeed:
Deep expertise in Vendor and Contract management for Logistics related services and processes, also providing good understanding of global standards and local legislations
Ability to independently draft and present deliverables, recommendations, and communications strategies
Strong strategic and analytical mindset, including ability to plan, prioritize and manage high numbers of tasks with varying workload and importance
Strategic logistics and supply chain experience and sound understanding of operational processes
Structured way of working - flexible and pragmatic approach to secure quick wins
Substantial commercial and contract administration experience
Business fluent in English.
Additional InformationThis role is a full-time position, starting as soon as possible, with direct reporting to the Regional Logistics Warehouse Commercial Manager. The work location offers flexibility across European countries with own logistics operations (option of hybrid working).
