Own your opportunity at GDIT and you’ll be a meaningful part of improving how agencies operate.  Our work depends on a WAN Orchestration Architect joining our team to support the Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) program in Falls Church, VA.

This is an IT Service Management contract in support of GENM-O’s mission is to enable information dominance from the tactical edge to the home station for the Army, DoD, National Command Authority, and international partners by acquiring, implementing, and sustaining strategic satellite and terrestrial communication systems, and by leveraging technologies to meet current and future requirements.  

AGUN is to design, procure, maintain, deploy, and transition a Global SDN solution in accordance with applicable Army policies and regulations. The AGUN-INC1 TO will provide a unified approach to ensure standardized deployments and configurations at multiple locations throughout the globe.

To be successful in this position you need to be collaborative and willing to work within a team. While you will need to be a self-starter completing tasks on your own, working together is critical in this role. You will be interfacing with the client and senior staff. Therefore, you should be articulate in your communications because your opinion matters. You will need to explain technical intricacies in a way that is easily understood.


WAN Orchestration Architest - Designs and develops automation workflows, playbooks, and templates to automate SD-WAN configuration, provisioning, and optimization tasks. Implements policy-driven orchestration models to enforce network policies, quality of service (QoS) rules, and security controls across SD-WAN environments. Optimizes SD-WAN orchestration workflows and processes to improve performance, scalability, and resource efficiency. Implements monitoring and analytics tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs), identifies bottlenecks, and optimizes resource utilization in SD-WAN environments.

It is anticipated that some personnel will be required to travel on Temporary Duty (TDY) to various CONUS and OCONUS locations. Long-distance travel is anticipated to be required in support of this effort.
