Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wafer Fabrication Technician – Deposition and Inspection to join our Wafer Fabrication Cleanroom within the Production Department. As a Wafer Process Technician, you will perform tasks related to solution phase deposition, electrical test and measurement, visual inspection, and photolithography of lead selenide and sulfide products, as well as other silicon products. This role involves both hands-on, single-wafer processing and operating production-oriented, semi-automated semiconductor processing tools.
Primary Responsibilities:
As a Wafer Process Technician, you will work in a cleanroom environment and be responsible for activities such as wafer cleaning, photoresist stripping, metal liftoff, wet etching, basic analytical testing, measurement, and data entry for PbSX and Si products. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a cleanroom setting and able to effectively carry out their assigned shift responsibilities:
Acquire essential chemical safety and handling knowledge through mandatory training.
Adhere strictly to cleanroom protocols and safety guidelines at all times.
Execute solution phase deposition of PbSX products with precision and efficiency.
Perform meticulous chemical etching processes while strictly adhering to safety protocols.
Conduct electrical test and measurement procedures to ensure product reliability and quality.
Utilize optical microscope, profilometry, and thin film tools to measure and inspect wafers.
Perform visual die inspection to identify and address any defects or anomalies, ensuring exceptional quality control.
Demonstrate proficiency in fundamental photolithography and etching techniques to support fabrication processes.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues.
Coordinate with a supervisor and/or engineers for wafer evaluations, experiments, data collection, qualifications, and reporting.
Cross-training across various job functions is a requirement.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent education level required.
Prior experience in a cleanroom is not necessary but must be a plus.
Proactive and able to independently manage tasks while supporting team activities.
Committed, attentive, and positive attitude with multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.
Keen attention to detail and precision in executing fabrication processes.
Willingness to be familiar with cleanroom protocols and safety procedures.
Willingness to learn basic manufacturing procedures and operate wafer fabrication tools.
Willingness to learn basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
Ability to work in a cleanroom environment, wearing appropriate protective gear.
Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing for prolonged periods.
Ability to follow detailed instructions, procedures, and complete necessary documentation.
Must be able to read, write and speak English, and have basic math skills.
Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.

Compensation Information:
Pay Range: $23.00-24.25 per hour
